 | Able SunMy collection for Hudson Supermarket is an evolving entity that represents me in its diversity and, I hope, reflects me in its globe-spanning styles. I come from a Shanghainese family from Hong Kong, and this has influenced my tastes in terms of how Chinese items fit with Western culture as Shanghai was the Paris of the East. So my exposure has been varied, my influences gathered from everywhere, and my interests build on one another. Having studied design and worked with top designers for much of my career, I am especially drawn to authenticity, pure designs. Whether that be a rococo bombe chest, a Ming dynasty alter table or a marble topped Saarinen dining table, I believe that these are impeccable foundations and starting points for any room or collection. Good design transcends eras and origins and I hope my collection will inspire. |
